ARCHIVING DAY (coming soon)
There will be an open day in the Glenelg Community Village Hall shortly for all residents in the area to have their old photos (and some new ones too) scanned and archived. The purpose behind this event is to prevent information disappearing over the years. For example ... we have several old black and white images from around the First World War of Glenelg residents that no one seems to recognise. As the years go by the same thing happens to all the photographic material unless someone has the foresight to catalogue or label their collections of photos and negatives.
Shortly a date will be posted here so you can bring your photos to be scanned and archived and meet other people who may recognise anyone for whom you have no identity.
