Christmas Advent Carol Service

The Christmas season kicks off this Sunday, 2nd of December when the Church of Scotland youth club hosts a Christmas Advent Carol Service in the Glenelg and Arnisdale Community Hall. The evening starts at 7.00pm with a torchlight procession from the Smithy junction down to the Hall where the main carol service will begin at 7.30pm. There will be input from the children

It’s not every weekend you get to get to see a concert in Glenelg so when 2 minibuses full of musicians and a van load of instruments come “over the hill”, you know it’s going to be something special.. This years Ceilidh night in aid of Macmillan Cancer support, is now just a distant memory for some and a fuzzy one for others! The entertaining mixture of song, dance, poetry and musical skills were really appreciated on a night attended by, what looked like, most of the village plus a good few more. Bo Broadfoot, one of the chief event organizers summed it up well
